COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) welcomed a new member on Monday morning. Columbus Mayor Mary Ferdon swore in the latest police officer for the City’s law enforcement team.
Elijsha Munn (CPD #305) comes to CPD from Great Mills, Maryland. After graduating from Great Mills High School, he studied criminal justice and worked as a correctional officer at the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
He then transitioned to a patrol deputy, eventually becoming a field training officer and a member of their Emergency Response Team.
Munn will now train with CPD instructors and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy to transfer his police officer certification from Maryland to Indiana.
