COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) congratulates Greicy Patiño, the Dual Language Instructional Coach at Clifty Creek Elementary School, for being named the 2024 Walter Bartz Distinguished Language Administrator by the Indiana Foreign Language Teacher’s Association (IFLTA).
As a key figure in the creation and success of the Legado Spanish Immersion Academy, Patiño’s passion for bilingual education has empowered students to become bilingual, bi-literate, and bicultural.
Officials at BCSC say, “Her dedication to fostering cultural pride and global opportunities for students is inspiring and we acknowledge her incredible impact on students, teachers, and the community.” Patiño added, “Being bilingual is a superpower.”
