COLUMBUS, Ind. – Eastern Bartholomew Water Corporation (EBWC) officials say a water outage occurred late Tuesday afternoon in the Hammer Heights Addition, creating a Boil Water Advisory for the area. Another utility company damaged a six-foot water main.
When water service is restored, the Boil Water Advisory will continue until noon on Friday, February 7. In addition to Hammer Heights, the advisory includes S. County Road 600E, near East State Road 46, in the CERAland area.
During the advisory, EBWC says any water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled for at least five minutes and cooled before consumption.
