INDIANAPOLIS – The 59th Annual Murat Shrine North/South Football All-Star Classic at Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis is slated for Friday, July 11, and many local athletes claimed a spot on the South roster.
On offense, Franklin Community High School’s Alex Leugers was one of three running backs selected, and Brownstown Central’s Greg Hutcheson at tight end rounded out the local offensive skill position selections. Columbus North’s Bryce Harriman was the only area offensive lineman selected to the South team.
On the other side of the ball, TJ Williams, a linebacker for Center Grove, and Corbin Johnson, a linebacker for South Decatur, were selected to participate.
The South roster has 46 players, five managers, two athletic trainers, and 10 coaches, led this year by Todd Wilkerson, head coach of Heritage Hills.
The Indiana Football Coaches Association selects the rosters for the game.
