COLUMBUS, Ind. – Beginning next month, Thrive Alliance in Columbus and Seymour is offering Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a virtual educational series designed to provide caregivers with the tools they need to take care of those in their care while also taking care of themselves.
This program helps family caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, communicate feelings better, balance their lives, increase their ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources.
Classes consist of six sessions held once a week. Interactive lessons, discussions, and brainstorming will help caregivers take and implement the “tools” they choose.
Virtual classes conducted via ZOOM will be held every Tuesday from 3 to 4:30 p.m., April 22 through May 27. Participants receive a copy of The Caregiver Helpbook, developed specifically for the class.
The Program is FREE, but registration is required by April 21. Call 812-372-6918, ext. 2402, or email jferril@thrive-alliance.org.
