COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) congratulates Captain Chris Roberts on his recent graduation from the FBI National Academy. The National Academy is an intensive program in which law enforcement officers receive top-tier instruction in several law enforcement topics.
Sheriff Chris Lane said, “I recognize and congratulate Capt. Roberts on his completion of the National Academy. As a previous graduate myself, I know the benefits of attending this academy. His extensive career experience, paired with this new knowledge, will be an invaluable resource for the community for years to come.”
Almost 250 officers graduated with Roberts from the FBI National Academy. The 293rd session of the National Academy consisted of men and women from 48 states and the District of Columbia. The class included members of law enforcement agencies from 24 countries, 11 military organizations, and four federal civilian organizations.
Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy offers 10 weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training.
Since it began in 1935, nearly 56,000 graduates have completed the FBI National Academy at the FBI Training Academy in Quantico. It is the same facility where the FBI trains its new special agents and intelligence analysts.
