COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bill Martin Memorial Pickleball Scramble for Thrive Alliance is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, at CERA Sports Park’s 18-court Pickleball complex. This marks the second year for the annual event being held in honor of Bill Martin.
He was a long-time friend of many in Columbus and an enthusiastic member and supporter of the local Pickleball community who succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease in 2022. Proceeds from the tournament support Thrive Alliance’s Dementia and Care Partners Program.
The Thrive Alliance dementia programs help keep people engaged in their communities and offer their care partners much-needed support and respite care.
The tournament is a round-robin scramble format across five divisions (Beginner, Recreational, Intermediate, Competitive, and Advanced) with a maximum of 16 players per division.
The donation to enter the tourney is $40 per person, and you can register online here.
Anyone interested in sponsoring the tournament or donating to Thrive Alliance’s dementia care programs in Bill Martin’s name may do so here.
