COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Regional Health (CRH) continues to be open and operating under normal circumstances despite heavy flooding in Columbus and Bartholomew County. All inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services continue as normal.
As of Sunday afternoon, the waters of Haw Creek have receded, and the flood warning and risk associated with that stream have been lifted. The two floodwall sections that were raised temporarily out of precaution have been lowered, and all entrances are open and accessible.
However, heavy flooding and road closures are affecting the west side of Bartholomew County, Nashville, etc. For continued access to CRH from the west, here is the suggested safe access route:
- From 46W, turn right onto Goeller Boulevard
- Turn left onto Terrace Lake Road, near Fire Station 5
- Take Terrace Lake Road to 200S and turn right
- Turn left onto 400W
- Turn left onto 450S
- Drive to I-65 and go northbound to Exit 76A
- Drive US31 Southbound into Columbus
This route adds about 35 minutes of travel time. Click here for maps to the hospital campus and NexusPark. Use caution when travelling. Water levels and currents are difficult to determine from visual inspection. Never attempt to cross flooded roadways.
