State Road 46 opens-Courtesy-CPD
COLUMBUS, Ind. – As flood waters continued to recede, officials were finally able to reopen State Road 46 on Tuesday morning.
Barricades were lifted just after 8:30 a.m., but the light at I-65 was not functioning, so motorists could not turn left onto the entrance ramps. By 11:30 a.m., the problem with the signal was corrected, and traffic began to flow normally on S.R. 46 for the first time since Thursday.
