FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin Community Schools (FCS) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Cub Academy Preschool last Friday. The site, at 500 N. Earlywood Dr., formerly housed the Earlywood Education Service Center. It closed in 2024 and was torn down.
FCS says construction on the Cub Academy project should be finished next summer, and it is scheduled to open for the 2026-2027 school year.
Once complete, the new preschool will be large enough to welcome all Franklin Community School District’s young students.
