COLUMBUS, Ind. — Residents of Bartholomew County seeking assistance with food, health care navigation, mental health, child care, legal services, and more will have the opportunity to connect directly with local organizations at the upcoming Duke Energy Resource Fair later this month.
The event, from 9 a.m. to noon on April 30, is at Memorial Baptist Church, 2320 7th St., in Columbus.
Several nonprofit and social service organizations will provide information, answer questions, and offer on-site assistance to individuals and families seeking help.
Food gift cards will also be handed out.
Participating organizations include:

- Covering Kids and Families
- Love Chapel
- Indiana Legal Services
- Mental Health Matters
- Lincoln Central Neighborhood Family Center
- The Engagement Center
- Children Inc.
- United Way of Bartholomew County
- Human Services, Inc.
- Turning Point
- Duke Energy
- Sans Souci
“This resource fair will be a way for so many in our community to have the chance to talk to many people in the social services at once, ensuring they can get the immediate on-site help they need, when they need it,” said Cathy King, Director of Engagement for United Way of Bartholomew County.
United Way of Bartholomew County leads the social service sector to ensure individuals have access to the basic resources needed to reach their full potential. Duke Energy is a partner in this effort, planning the fair and providing grocery gift cards to help meet urgent needs.
