COLUMBUS, Ind. – The City of Columbus Department of Public Works continues its annual Spring Cleanup program through next week.
This program allows residents to prepare their yards for spring planting and clear any remaining leaves from last fall.
Residents may place leaves, grass clippings, and pine needles at the curb for Leaf-Vac collection on their designated trash day.
The Spring Cleanup will only operate through Friday, April 25. If you have sticks or branches, create a separate pile for chipper collection.
The Leaf-Vacs will not collect the following items to prevent damage to the equipment:
- Dirt or sod
- Mulch or rocks
- Decorative grasses
- Sticks or branches
- Trash or recycling of any kind
