COLUMBUS, Ind. – River Valley Legal Aid holds a free walk-in clinic at the Bartholomew County Library, 536 5th St., in Columbus, this Tuesday, April 22, from 3 to 5 p.m.
The Pro Bono Indiana program uses local volunteer lawyers who offer free legal consultations to low-income individuals. The goal is to further assist in equal access to justice within the community for those who might not otherwise be able to afford the counsel of an attorney.
At no cost, the River Valley Legal Aid walk-in clinic on Tuesday provides individuals with a 10-minute consultation to answer questions and offer legal information on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no need to call ahead, but registration ends at 4:30 p.m.
Receive general civil advice from 3 to 4 p.m., and counsel on housing issues is given from 4 to 5 p.m.
