GREENWOOD, Ind. — Jason Wiesmann will be the next principal of Center Grove Middle School Central. He will replace Craig Smith who announced in February his plans to leave the position after Spring Break. The CGCSC Board of School Trustees approved Mr. Wiesmann’s appointment at its March 23 meeting.
Wiesmann has 18 years of experience as an administrator. He is currently the principal of Southport 6th Grade Academy in Perry Township Schools, a position he has held for four years. Previously, he served as an assistant principal and as dean of students at Southport Middle School. Under this leadership, Southport 6th Grade Academy was recognized nationally as a 2022 finalist for the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching’s prestigious Founder’s Award.
Wiesmann holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Franklin College and a master’s in Educational Administration from Ball State University.
