INDIANAPOLIS — The National Weather Service (NWS) says that there is a potential for severe storms with damaging wind for much of Indiana on Friday night.
The best chances for severe storms will be across western portions of the state, with odds diminishing to the east toward I-65. The higher threat area includes Brown County and the western parts of Bartholomew, Johnson, and Jackon Counties.
Damaging winds look to be the primary threat and windy conditions are expected overnight Friday into Saturday. Gusts of over 40 mph are likely, per NWS.
