NORTH VERNON, Ind. — The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) recently arrested a woman on multiple drug-related charges. Deputies conducted a traffic stop outside of Country Squire Lakes on May 12th. The driver, identified as Angela Brewster, had a suspended license.
She could not provide proof of insurance on the car and admitted that it likely did not have insurance. Due to several traffic violations, a tow truck was requested. K9 Axel conducted an open-air sniff around the vehicle and alerted JCSO to the possible presence of illegal narcotics.
A search inside the car allegedly revealed over 20 syringes, baggies of suspected methamphetamine, and several individually packaged baggies of prescription and controlled substance pills. Also supposedly found were a digital scale, multiple unused baggies, a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, and other paraphernalia-related items.
Brewster was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jennings County Jail.
