EDINBURGH, Ind. – Edinburgh Fire and Rescue has installed bigger and wider hoses to its fire trucks thanks to the Edinburgh Town Council.
The council recently approved the purchase of a five-inch supply hose. It arrived late last week and firefighters have replaced the existing three-inch hose.
With the growth of the town and its industrial park, along with the mall and hotels, the fire department is now able to more safely and effectively fight fires in those areas by having the maximum volume of water flowing.
