PLAINFIELD, Ind. – The Indiana State Police (ISP) is investigating after an Indiana Law Enforcement Academy trainee, who was just weeks away from graduating as a Johnson County Sheriff’s deputy, died on Tuesday.
Tim Guyer, 49, of Trafalgar, did not report to breakfast in the morning and was found unresponsive in his dormitory, per ISP.
The death appears to be the result of a medical issue of some kind, according to ISP spokesman John Perrine. There is no foul play suspected, he said.
Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess said Deputy Guyer’s patrol vehicle will be parked in front of the Sheriff’s Office at 1091 Hospital Road in Franklin. Members of the public are welcome to leave their remembrances at his vehicle.
The ISP investigation remains ongoing.
