COLUMBUS, Ind. – Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales continues visiting several counties to hand deliver election improvement grants. This week, Morales has made stops in Jackson, Bartholomew, Tippecanoe, and Boone Counties. On Thursday, January 18, he will be visiting Decatur, Rush, and Hancock Counties.
More than 60 Indiana counties will be receiving Federal Help America Vote Act grant dollars to go toward local election improvement and security efforts. Statewide grants are valued at approximately $2 million.
Including Thursday’s visits, the Secretary will have visited nearly 40 counties since the start of the year.
“These grants are used by each county for their specific election improvement needs. I never get tired of thanking our county clerks for their commitment to the Hoosier state,” said Morales.
