COLUMBUS, Ind.–A Bartholomew County woman, apparently hoping to save time, allegedly passed a stopped school bus with flashing lights on Monday afternoon. Ironically, as a result, she not only did not save time, she never arrived at her intended destination. Lt. Matt Harris with the Columbus Police Department says that Lyzette Berrios Torres, 30, of Columbus, attempted the move while a police officer was stopped behind the school bus. Law enforcement, therefore, got a firsthand glimpse of the violation.
Torres was pulled over and arrested for driving without ever receiving a license and reckless driving by disregarding a school bus stop arm.
