SOUTH-CENTRAL, Ind. – Because of the Cold Weather Advisory for south-central Indiana, several schools have two-hour delays on Tuesday, January 21. Most school systems in Bartholomew, Johnson, Jackson, Shelby, Brown, Jennings, and Decatur Counties have late start times.
Frigid temperatures and wind chills are predicted and the Cold Weather Advisory remains active until 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Dangerously cold wind chills, as low as 20 below zero, could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. While outside, wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors.
