
GREENWOOD, Ind. – An investigation continues following a two-vehicle collision in Greenwood on Friday night that resulted in injuries to two individuals.
The Greenwood Fire Department (GFD) said emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 10 p.m. to a crash involving entrapment at North Emerson Avenue and County Line Road.
Witnesses indicated that a Jeep had overturned, with one occupant trapped inside the vehicle. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found an individual whose arm was caught between the door of the Jeep and the ground, hindering their ability to escape.
GFD firefighters used two spreaders to elevate the Jeep and extricate the victim. Medical personnel provided first aid and then transported the individual to a nearby hospital for further treatment. A second victim from the other vehicle involved in the incident was also taken to a local hospital.
No further details have been disclosed, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
