GREENWOOD, Ind. — The city of Greenwood and Allen Commercial Group have announced plans for a new $2.6 million development, the Greenwood Business Center. The development will be constructed on 11 acres at the intersection of Interstate 65 and Main Street. The 28,000-square-foot building will be a mix of office and warehouse space.
The city of Greenwood redevelopment commission has approved $252,000 to extend sanitary sewer, and construct a storm water retention pond on the west end of the property.
“Greenwood is well-positioned for continued economic growth,” said Greenwood mayor, Mark Myers. “With a strong balance sheet, available land and a skilled labor force, the development community is taking notice. Greenwood Business Center is a great addition to the city, and I’m confident it will spur even more activity in the area.”
Project planners will also use the recently established “G.R.O.W. Initiative” to improve the aesthetic appeal. The program is a $500,000 matching grant fund available to Greenwood businesses.
