GREENSBURG, Ind. — A Columbus man has been arrested in connection with a burglary in Greensburg. The Decatur County Sheriff’s Department has accused Denver C. Hamilton, 21, of the 5700 block of John Butler Road, of taking multiple power tools from a shop owned by relatives. This was the second time in as many months Hamilton had allegedly stolen from the store.
Investigators used surveillance footage that showed Hamilton park his car in front of the store, go in take the items and put them in his car. Additional footage and photos show Hamilton breaking into his relative’s home. The relative has also accused Hamilton of stealing pain medication.
Hamilton is charged with two felony counts of burglary and one felony count of theft. He is scheduled to go on trial in March 2017.
