INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Governor-elect Eric Holcomb has made some key appointments for his upcoming administration.
Columbus resident, Major General Courtney Carr, will continue to serve as the Adjutant General of the Indiana Army National Guard. Carr received commission from the West Point Military Academy in 1983. He has served as the commander of the 1st Battalion of the 151st Infantry and deployed with them to Bosnia in 2002. He has also commanded the 138th Regiment Combat Arms, an organization designed to train military leaders. As commander of the 76th Combat Brigade he deployed with 4,500 soldiers to Iraq.
Holcomb selected Michah Vincent to be the director of management and budget. Vincent served in the same role for governor Pence. Danny Lopez has been appointed to be Holcomb’s chief of staff. Lopez has served under senator Dan Coats and former governor Mitch Daniels.
