COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police diffused a disturbance involving a knife, and subsequently made one arrest early Friday morning.
Police were called to the 100 block of California Street around 4:30 a.m. after a report of an intoxicated man with a knife making threats. Officers determined Melvin Foree, 34, of Columbus, kicked-in a bedroom door at the residence, and threatened a woman with a knife. Police recovered the knife and arrested Foree without incident. He has been charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon.
