FRANKLIN, Ind. — The Franklin Rotary Club has adopted five fourth-grade students from Webb Elementary School. Once a month, the students attend a meeting at Franklin College, have lunch and interact with other Rotary members.
The program is designed to help at-risk children build confidence, presentation skills, and social skills to prepare them for life after school.
“The Franklin Rotary provides our Webb Spiders with learning experiences that maximize individual student potential,” Principal Cheryl Moran said. “Our students get the opportunity to spend time, monthly, with business professionals from our small community. These interactions provide endless opportunities for our students to learn, grow and dream. Who knows what these students will one day become because of the time and attention that the Rotary has given to them.”
There are 1.2 million Rotary members around the world creating positive, lasting changes in communities.
