INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Republican State Representative from Seymour, Jim Lucas, has been selected to serve on four house committees. He will be the vice-chairman of the House Committee on Government and Regulatory Reform. He will also serve on the House Committee on Education, House Committee on Public Policy, and he will be the Majority Whip.
“Committees play an integral role in the legislative process,” Lucas said. “These assignments reflect members’ unique skill sets. As a small-business owner, I will be able to use my experience to foster substantive policy discussions in each committee I am assigned to.”
The first day of the 2017 legislative session is scheduled for January 4.
