COLUMBUS, Ind. — The former Director of the Bartholomew County Youth Services Center has declared her candidacy for Bartholomew County Council.
Pam Clark said she will advocate for fiscal responsibility, economic development and environmental protection.
“Bartholomew County has had a number of fiscal issues in the past few years, including funding to support road repair, road deputies, the IT department, employee salaries, the Park Department and insurance,” said Clark.
“Council council members need to have strong interpersonal skills that will bring people together toward achieving commons goals,” Clark said, “I believe I have those skills.”
Clark served as Youth Services Center director for nearly 10 years and is currently self-employed as a consultant doing work with the Bartholomew County United Way and the National Partnership for Juvenile Services. She serves on the Indiana University School of Social Work Alumni Association Board of Directors and Columbus Behavioral Center Governing Board.
Clark will seek an at-large seat, which also features incumbents Jim Reed, Evelyn Pence and Bill Lentz. Local businessman Matthew Miller has also announced his candidacy.
