FRANKLIN, Ind. — Franklin Mayor Joe McGuinness focused on the local economy during the annual State of the City address Tuesday.
McGuinness said new jobs were created last year and more homes will be built in 2016.
“In 2015, we welcomed 36 businesses to Franklin, that is 115 new jobs,” the mayor said. “The planning department has over 250 single-family homes proposed to begin construction in 2016.”
A Meijer store is among new businesses expected to break ground in Franklin later this year.
