COLUMBUS, Ind. — Two Columbus men are in jail following a weekend traffic stop.
Columbus police stopped a vehicle crossing the centerline on Fairlawn Drive around 3 a.m. on Saturday. During the stop they detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The driver, Michael Olson, 42, provided a breath sample that registered 0.38 percent, over four times the legal limit. Olson was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence.
A passenger, Clayton Perry, 28, became disorderly with police and was also taken into custody. Perry has been charged with disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.
