WASHINGTON D.C. — United States Senator Todd Young has been named the chairman of the subcommittee on Multilateral International Development, Multilateral Institutions, and International Economic, Energy and Environmental Policy.
“Hoosiers expect the federal government to represent their interests, fight hard on their behalf, and serve as a responsible steward of their resources, and that is exactly what I intend to do as the Chair of this influential Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee. In addition to holding multilateral institutions accountable and advocating for U.S. policies abroad that serve the interests of Americans, I look forward to using my leadership position on this subcommittee to fight for freer and fairer trade policies that will allow Indiana business owners to compete internationally, expand foreign markets for Hoosier products, protect their intellectual property in the 21st century, and create jobs.”
Young will also serve on the subcommittee on Near East and South Asia Counterterrorism, and the Africa and Global Health Policy.
