FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin Police Department (FPD) was dispatched to the AT&T Wireless store, at 1711 N. Morton St., on Saturday at around 2:45 p.m., after the report of an armed robbery in progress.
Three male suspects had supposedly entered the store, brandished a firearm, and demanded that an employee take them to a safe that held many boxed cell phones. The suspects allegedly took the phones, exited through the rear of the business, and got into a waiting vehicle.
A vehicle description was provided to law enforcement and the car was soon spotted and stopped.
Dejuan A. Barnes, 19, of Indianapolis. was arrested and charged with robbery and theft. Jacob R. Santos, 19, of Indianapolis, was arrested and booked for robbery, theft, battery, pointing a firearm, criminal recklessness with a firearm, and carrying a handgun without a license. Two juveniles were also taken into custody and charged with robbery.
