COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers announced that a graduation ceremony was held Tuesday for Bartholomew County Jail (BCJ) inmates who graduated from the BART Treatment Program. Participants were provided more than 400 hours of group and individual treatment.
BART stands for Begin, Accept, Reveal, Transform, and is a matrix model evidence-based treatment program for criminal justice.
Myers congratulated the graduates and said, “By turning part of BCJ into a drug treatment facility, we are now able to treat inmates who can benefit from a treatment plan.”
The minimum treatment period is 12 weeks. The program is completed in seven phases.
