COLUMBUS, Ind. – Three new Columbus Police Department (CPD) officers were sworn in by Mayor Jim Lienhoop during the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting held Monday at Columbus City Hall.
Kyle Hildebrand is a graduate of Jacksonville Christian Academy, an Indiana Law Enforcement Academy graduate, and has previously worked for the Greensburg Police Department. He also serves as a volunteer with Columbus Township Fire and Rescue.
Tyler Boswell is a Jennings County High School graduate and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at the University of Indianapolis in 2020. He previously worked as a corrections officer, a reserve deputy, and most recently a merit deputy with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office.
Ethan Boutwell is a graduate of Edwardsburg High School in Michigan and currently attends IUPUC, where he serves as a cadet officer and is scheduled to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in the spring. He previously served with both the Indiana and Michigan National Guard.
