BROWNSTOWN, Ind. — The Brownstown Exchange Club has named Mackenzie Bennett as “Youth of the Month.”
Bennett is the daughter of Ed and Shelia Bennett and is a senior at Brownstown Central High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Brownstown Teen Tutors, Bad Club, and has served as DECSA vice-president from 2015-16. She is a Microsoft Office specialist and a former Senator Richard G. Lugar Symposium nominee. She was also the most improved player on the 2016 tennis team. Bennett plans to attend Indiana University to study biochemistry, and then pursue a career in anesthesiology.
The Brownstown Exchange Club meets every Tuesday, at 7 a.m., at the local Dairy Queen. Visitors are always welcome.
