INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Local Bartholomew County communities will receive more than $1.6 million in state matching grants to steer toward much-needed road improvement projects, according to state lawmakers.
“A safe and reliable transportation network is critical to keeping our state and local economy running strong,” said State Rep. Ryan Lauer (R-Columbus). “The Community Crossings Grant program helps fund much-needed roadway improvements, which support Hoosier jobs and can lead to new economic development in our area.”
Bartholomew County received $137,210, Columbus was awarded $519,100, Edinburgh was the recipient of $883,621, and Hope was granted $106,416.
This week, over 200 towns, cities, and counties throughout Indiana received a combined total of over $101 million through the Community Crossings Matching Grant program.
