FRANKLIN, Ind. — The fifth annual “Day of Giving Challenge” at Franklin College will be held Thursday, April 20.
Proceeds raised during the event will go to the Franklin Fund, which provides help with tuition to students who qualify for need-based assistance. Reports indicate 95 percent of Franklin College students receive some sort of financial aid.
The goal for this year is to have 600 people make a gift on April 20. When the goal is met it will make $25,000 from the college’s challengers available for the program. Last year the event raised more than $80,000 from 567 donors.
Faculty and students will use the hashtag, #GiveToGriz, to promote the event.
