COLUMBUS, Ind. — Leaders from the African American Fund, Paths 2 Success, the Columbus/Bartholomew County Area chapter of the NAACP, and the African American Pastors Alliance have organized a mix of programs for their Black History Month Columbus event in February, centering on stories of resilience.
The goal is to create momentum for community collaboration through inspiring and educational experiences and create a common voice for the Black community in Columbus beyond the month of February.
A Black History Month community calendar will detail the full list of programming around the city.
The creation of the month-long celebration was made possible by the investment of Cummins Inc., Heritage Fund Community Foundation, Columbus Regional Health, and Taylor Bros Construction., Inc.

- Free Black Movie Series at YES Cinema – Every Saturday in February
- Community Worship Service at The Commons February 12, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- ‘Feel the Vibe’: Jazz Concert with Christopher Pitts, at Helen Haddad Hall, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m.
