NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Education Center (JCEC) has a correctional program for inmates that offers free high school equivalency (HSE) classes and certification at the Jennings County Jail. The program is instructed by Stacey King.
Christopher Carter Louden and Darren Baker have recently become the first correctional HSE graduates since 2021. Local educators and officials commended both for committing to bettering themselves.
JCEC also thanks Jennings County Sherriff Kenny Freeman and his whole staff at the Jennings County Jail for their commitment to the program, which is vital to its success.
