FRANKLIN, Ind. — A Franklin resident was wounded by accidental gunfire over the holiday weekend. Reports indicate just after midnight on New Year’s Eve, Kyle Berry dropped a gun that had a round in the chamber, and it went off striking him in the leg.
Police searched the home in the 4000 block of Jason Avenue to make sure the bullet did not leave the property. Berry told police he thought he was carrying an unloaded 9mm pistol at the time of the incident.
