NEEDHAM, Ind. — A Johnson County deputy administered the life-saving medication Narcan on New Year’s Day for a heroin overdose in Needham.
Police were dispatched to a home in the 3500 block of North 700E to assist with a possible overdose. First responders were providing medical care to the male victim who was in full cardiac arrest when police arrived.
The deputy supplied narcan and the victim became responsive and combative. Authorities had to assist medics with hospital transport.
A needle and burnt spoon were found in the bathroom, police said.
The overdose victims name was not released.
