COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation has proposed a $112.6 million budget for 2017. The budget represents a 1.2 percent increase from last year and is not expected to increase the tax rate. There were no comments from the public.
The increases include a 2 percent raise for all employees, plus the addition of five employees, three of whom are certified staff members.
Officials reported a $1 million surplus as of January and say that surplus could reach $1.9 million by the end of the year.
