BROWN COUNTY, Ind.—The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) met with its contractor recently at the Seymour District offices to discuss replacement of a culvert on State Road 45 in Brown County’s Jackson Township. Construction operations are set to begin after April 1, 2019, and will require a five-day closure of the east-west highway.
OLCO Inc., of Batesville, the state’s contractor for the $142,870.00 small structure replacement project, will remove the existing S.R. 45 structure carrying an unnamed tributary of Bean Blossom Creek, and replace it with a concrete box culvert. INDOT will close S.R. 45 at the construction site located 3.9 miles west of S.R. 135, between Helmsburg and Trevlac. A state highway detour will route motorists around the S.R. 45 closure.
The project is scheduled to be completed by June 30.
