COLUMBUS, Ind.–Wisconsin-based Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, LLC began the Columbus crack sealing program on Tuesday. The project will take approximately three weeks to complete as part of the city’s preventative maintenance plan to make streets last longer with fewer potholes.
This week, crews are working in the Woodside Industrial Park area and then will move to the subdivisions of Park Forest Estates, Park Forest Estates North, Forest Park, Sims Homestead Addition, Broadmoor, and Heathfield. “No Parking” signs will be posted on streets in the neighborhoods 24 hours prior to the maintenance. In the event of rain, the roads will remain designated as “No Parking,” but residents may park temporarily, from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m.
A complete list of streets to be sealed and a crack sealing schedule is posted on the Engineering page of the city’s website. https://www.columbus.in.gov/engineering/local-road-improvement-projects
