COLUMBUS, Ind. — Clocks will jump ahead one hour this weekend.
Daylight Saving Time officially starts at 2 a.m. Sunday. It ends the first Sunday in November.
It also serves as an opportunity to make sure safety devices are working. Safety officials encourage residents to check smoke detectors. Most smoke-alarm batteries should be changed twice a year.
