COLUMBUS, Ind. – A local man was injured after his car slammed into a Columbus home on Wednesday evening.
The Columbus Police Department (CPD) responded to the one-vehicle accident in the 6000 block of East Meadow Ridge Road, in the Prairie Stream Estates subdivision, at around 8:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers noted significant damage to the front end of a car and to a nearby home that the vehicle apparently struck.
Police say witnesses reported to them that prior to the crash, the driver of the car, Cameron Ackerman, 19, of Columbus, was seen traveling at a high rate of speed before losing control of his vehicle.
CPD says Ackerman was transported to Columbus Regional Health for treatment of minor injuries.
