COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County EOC Director Ed Reuter said an upgrade in security is needed after multiple incidents of people trying to enter or even break-in to the 911 center. County Commissioners have approved the almost $14,000 expenditure for a new high definition camera system that will increase safety for the dispatchers. Reuter said it is very important on who can access the building because if that center is taken away or compromised, then dispatchers can’t help anyone.
