FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin Education Connection (FEC) is pleased to announce it has received a $30,000 grant from the Elba L. and Gene Portteus Branigin Foundation. This generous grant will fund the continuation of the successful after-school STEM program partnering with Sylvan Learning at the Elementary and Middle School levels in addition to the expansion of the “Project Lead the Way” STEM-focused program at the High School level.
When asked about the impact of the grant, Franklin Community Schools Executive Director of Finance and FEC Board Member, Tina Gross said, “We are extremely grateful to the Branigin Foundation for their continued support in the efforts to expose students to STEM careers and activities throughout their educational journey.
