SOUTH-CENTRAL, Ind. – Gas prices continue to fall in central and southern Indiana, but experts say the trend could soon come to an end. “A lot of it is, of course, the price of oil,” says Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick Dehaan with GasBuddy. He says drivers have been benefiting from lower oil prices. “In fact, just out of Christmas, on Christmas Eve, prices touched briefly touched $42 a barrel. That represented a $34 a barrel drop over October.”
According to AAA, the average price of gas in Bartholomew County is $2.07 per gallon.
